The Harvest Festival offers over 24,000 unique, handmade arts and crafts. Guests can browse thousands of gifts, including jewelry, clothing, original art, specialty foods, toys, accessories, home décor and more. If you love American grassroots music and American made crafts, visit the San Mateo Harvest Festival for some “Serious Fun” – the latest album from the ever popular Tom Rigney & Flambeau, Scotty & Trink comedy juggling, along with Derek the Mime, funny horsemen and the Mama Claus Duo. Celebrity Broadcaster and Film Critic Jan Wahl will make a special appearance at the San Mateo Harvest Festival on Saturday, November 12th at 11:30 and 12:30pm. Jan’s first lecture will focus on “Fabulous Females of Film”, celebrating the wild women of the silver screen. At 12:30pm, Jan will host her second lecture surrounding “Holiday Highlights in Film”, taking the audience through films that set during the holidays.
The show will also welcome the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program, one of the largest Firefighter Toy Programs in the United States, allowing the organization to promote information about our program and services, in addition to educating the public about resources for Child, and Adult Fire related safety issues.
FREE CHILD ID KITS!
For the first time, the San Mateo Harvest Festival is offering a Child ID program, sponsored by New York Life Insurance. The program is designed to provide children with a Child ID, as well as to teach kids in their communities how to stay safe in the home, at school or out playing with friends.
The whole family will enjoy the interactive KidZone, allowing children to participate in hands-on crafts like gingerbread cookie decorating from Gingerbread-on-the-go and special jewelry making activities with Dragonfly Designs.
BAGS & PARCEL CHECK BENEFITS THE COMMUNITY
The San Mateo Harvest Festival has selected the Peninsula Humane Society/SPCA as the official charity for the event. The PHS/SPCA is a private non-profit guided by the humane ethic to build healthy relationships between people and animals. The organization accepts all animals in need of care and gives a second chance to the neediest animals. The PHS/SPCA will receive half of the proceeds from shopping bag sale proceeds and all the proceeds from the bag and parcel check proceeds.
