Event Description

Visit Oakland Zoo for our annual Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo! Stroll the Zoo in costume and collect yummy treats. Ride the spooky boo train and join the costume parade. Plus, get your face painted, make treats for the animals, and see how the animals at Oakland Zoo celebrate Halloween. Kids in costumes receive a free ride ticket.

•Trick or Treat stations: search for clues in the scavenger hunt and collect yummy treats from Annabelle Candy Co., American Licorice Company, Clif Bar & Company, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, GoGo Squeez, Honest Tea, LARABAR, Plum Organics, and Safeway
•Kids in costumes (ages 2-14) receive a free ride ticket
•Costume parade at 11:00am and 1:00pm with the Zoo’s mascot, Roosevelt
•Meet the animals! Wildlife Theater Animal Encounters at 11:30am and 12:15pm
•Science stations will feature “Zoombie” animals, monster myths, and sensory skills – touch the foods zoo animals like to eat
•Craft Halloween creations for Zoo animals
•Meet the Oakland Fire Department - see their Fire Truck up close! (Sunday, October 27 only)
•Meet and be greeted by members of the Oakland Police Department (Saturday, October 26 only)
•Get batty with festive face painting!
•Learn about our Felidae Conservation Fund and our Bay Area Puma Project Conservation Programs at our presentation tables on Sunday, October 27

Event included with regular Zoo Admission.
Parking Fee: $8.00 for non-members. FREE for members.
