Going Green

I am Cosmie from the SF Weekly's june 17, 2009 article "Service with a Snarl, and The Wall Street Journal's February 24, 2011 article "Leapin' Lizards!" I met Skippy shortly after my psychiatrist & I agreed that a pet iguana would do great things for my depression. When I took Skippy to his first vet visit, he was diagnosed with Metabolic Bone Disease, which means he wasn't getting the uv light, naturally put out by the sun, or artificially from lamps sold at reptile shops. Basically, it is uncertain if either of us would be here, if Skippy hadn't found me. Skippy was treated, and I got loads of incentive to delve into the hobby of husbandry of reptiles, and VoilĂ - here we both are, still thriving today. While Skippy & I saved each other, many people are against the laws that classify Skippy as my service animal. We must remain together because we learn a great deal from each other and love each other very much. Skippy is very smart and friendly. Kids love him everywhere we go. He is very well behaved, and even makes me laugh. He literally climbs on me in bed and forces me to get up, or offline to fix his food. He is obviously spoiled. Separating us would be a drastic mistake.
