I am a person who comes from a family of avid dog lovers. Once I graduated college and found a permanent place to live and my life got settled, I knew I wanted to adopt a dog from a rescue. No one in my family had ever adopted a dog before, and I really felt as if giving an animal a second chance in a new home was the right thing to do.
I searched for several months for the right dog, when I came across Skipper on Petfinder.com. I somehow knew this was the right dog for me - the only problem was he was almost 6 hours away. I decided to at least go meet him and my instinct was right, he was a wonderful dog. Skipper and I have been together for a while now, and he is a great, quirky, outgoing friend. I am so greatful we found each other!
