Several years ago I was interested in getting a Great Dane puppy, when a acquitance told me about a nine-month old dog who had been adopted twice and was about to be sent back to the SPCA for the second time. Hearing this, I decided I had to at least meet this unwanted dog. When I arrived and first saw him, I thought "no way am I adopting this dog." However, when he first saw me, he came running up to me with this silly grin on his face and had appeared to have already made up his mind I wasn't leaving without him. I tentatively agreed to take him on a conditional basis for a few days. So off we headed to my truck, I opened the passenger door and he jumped right in and when i got in the drivers seat, he seat as close to me as he could getm which made it a little difficult to drive home, but we made it home. Seeing how happy he was and how he became so attached to me in sucha short period of time. I knew I could not send him back and immediatley called and agreed to adopt him. I quickly found out he had no training at all and was more than somewhat out of control, but with the proper training and a lot of patience he has grown to become the most wonderful dog and my best friend. He has been by my side through over three years of serious medical treatments and even got to vist me during an extended hospital stay. Our first meeting was over six years ago and I have never once regretted my decision and can not imagine a day in my life without him runing to the door to meet me with his silly grin and happy go lucky attitude. Parker has proven to me everyone needs a second chance in life and he has given me more than I can ever give back to him.
My best friend
