We were looking for a dog to add to our family and little did we know that we were getting a little clown to make every day a little brighter. We found Boog at the Marin Humane Society last May and he was 6 months old. How could anyone pass up those beautiful brown eyes? I asked to take him out for a walk and was surprised to find him staying right next to me waiting for my next command. Could this really be happening, I thought? Why is this dog even here? Before anyone else had a chance to adopt him, I put him on hold and called my husband to come see him right away. Both of us spent time with Boog and knew right away that he was the one for us! At the time of adoption Boog's name was Barnum. Well we couldn't see calling our dog a "three-ring-circus", even though he is a clown, so we let our daughter, age 8, name him. She decided to name him "Boog" after a grizzly bear character in the movie "Open Season". It fits him perfectly and for those who have seen the movie and have meet our dog can see why.
We truly love him and thank god for the people and the Marin Humane Society!
