Painted Lady - butterfly migration

If you live in San Jose, or anywhere nearby, you have probably noticed them - thousands of orange-brown Painted Lady butterflies, all traveling north. Next time you stop at a traffic light, take a look around you - in a matter of minute or so, you may count several dozen butterflies, all going in the same direction.

This video was taken yesterday at Coyote Lake County Park, just north of Gilroy.
