Peninsula Banjo Band performing at the grand opening of The Tech Museum

Bay Area band loses its home

The 46 year old Peninsula Banjo Band is losing its home. After 19 years at the same Straw Hat pizza in San Jose on Meridian Ave., Tuesday night, June 16th, will be its last performance at that location. The current owner is closing the business due to the economy and poor business even though Tuesday nights, when the band plays, are usually busy.
The Peninsula Banjo Band is a 501-c-3 non-profit that uses its musical talents to raise money for Bay Area charities such as Hospice of the Valley, Ronald MacDonald House, and the Stanford Children's Hospital.

The Peninsula Banjo Band has moved! We now play every Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Cabritos Mexican Bistro 685 E. El Camino Real (near Remington/Fair Oaks) in Sunnyvale. Come enjoy the happiest music in town at our spacious new venue.
