Man Sentenced To 15-Years in Prison For Beating Estranged Wife With Hammer


A lengthy prison sentence handed down to an Indiana man who beat his estranged wife with a hammer, according to Granite Broadcasting sister station Indiana's NewsCenter in Fort Wayne, Ind.

According to the report from Indiana's NewsCenter:

A Fort Wayne, Ind., man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for beating his estranged wife with a hammer.

The 69-year-old man was arrested in July and held on an aggravated battery charge. He was later charged with attempted murder for having hit his wife numerous times in the head with a hammer.

The man plead guilty to aggravated battery and was handed a 15-year sentence Monday morning.
