Man Arrested for DWI After Driving Through Scene of Accident, Police Say

A strange story from New York over the weekend, as reported by Granite Broadcasting sister station WKBW in Buffalo, N.Y.

According to the WKBW report:

A Yorkshire, N.Y., man was arrested and charged with DWI after allegedly driving through the scene of an accident early Saturday morning.

According to State Police, around 3 a.m. Saturday morning, troopers were investigating a personal injury auto accident.

That collision involved a vehicle which left the roadway, entered a yard, and struck a tree. While troopers continued to investigation, a gray van, driven by a 39-year-old man, drove past emergency vehicles, onto the yard, and through the accident scene.

The 39-year-old man was placed under arrest for DWI.
