Teen Charged With Homicide in Death of Soccer Referee

The Utah teen accused of fatally punching a 46-year-old soccer referee during a match last month has been charged with third-degree homicide by assault, according to a report from The Salt Lake Tribune.

Prosecutors are looking to certify the 17-year-old boy as an adult, according to the Salt Lake Tribune report. The man died last weekend after spending nearly a week in a coma following the incident, according to The Salt Lake Tribune report.
